Barolo 2014

Barolo 2014 is a wine distinguished by its freshness and balance. With a luminous ruby color, it presents a bouquet of delicate aromas of sour cherry, rose, and thyme. In the mouth, it offers a well-balanced structure with light tannins and a complexity of flavors ranging from red fruit to aromatic herbs, with a clean and lively finish. This Barolo is an ideal choice for those seeking a young and vibrant wine.

Vegetative cycle

The weather conditions in 2014 made it necessary a prolonged and gruelling working in vineyards that, in the end, gave great results, though with much fatigue. The ripening of Nebbiolo for Barolo bunches was perfect: healthy grapes with a very positive phenolic profile and a significant presence of anthocyanins.
Therefore, 2014 Barolo presents a good colour, a complex aroma profile and a remarkable longevity.

Climatic trend

The winter of 2014 was characterized by mild temperatures and spring arrived gradually but precociously.
The beginning of summer was characterized by average temperatures and above average rainfalls and very localized phenomena (the so-called “rain bombs”). A very pleasant September was followed by an October with significant daily temperature ranges.
It was a year in which the microclimate variability of the Langa valleys became particularly evident and saw the harvest for our 2014 Barolo.
