Vegetative cycle

Due to an unusually mild winter, the vegetative cycle got off to an early start, with flowering occurring between May 5 and May 10. Subsequently, a period of cool weather slowed the phenological cycle, partly mitigating the time advantage accumulated in the previous months.

Grape health in 2007 was exceptional, and the harvest began earlier than average. The overall situation of Nebbiolo da Barolo, upon racking, appears superb, with excellent alcohol levels and intensely fragrant aromas for our 2007 Barolo Cerequio.

Climatic trend

2007 Barolo Cerequio was a truly extraordinary vintage, characterized by an exceptionally mild winter. The spring and summer that followed were not particularly hot, apart from a few days in July with scorching temperatures, and little precipitation.
Throughout this period, ventilation was constant, maintaining low humidity levels.

The bouquet is rich and charming, with hints of wilted flowers and a touch of vanilla; the palate is full-bodied, while soft tannins help make it balanced.
