Barolo Villero 2004

2004

Barolo Villero 2004 comes from a clayey and compact soil that has allowed an excellent ripening of the fruit, giving the wine a rich and ample bouquet, enriched by suggestive notes of liquorice.
Despite the climatic conditions of this year were unstable, the result obtained is an excellent wine, structured and full-bodied.

Vegetative cycle

Rainfall caused a delay in the initial stage of plant budding, but later, the absence of rainfall and dry weather contributed positively to cluster development.
The constant presence of the anticyclone until October ensured flawless ripening of the grapes, especially late-ripening grapes such as Nebbiolo da Barolo for our 2004 Barolo Villero.

Climatic trend

After a winter with heavy snowfalls and low temperatures, spring 2004 had generous rainfalls in May. This contribution amply replenished the soil’s water reserves.
we experienced pleasant summer temperatures, with no significant temperature extremes and a notable absence of precipitation. Starting in September, the anticyclone gave sunny and dry days and temperatures slightly above the seasonal average for an excellent 2004 Barolo Villero.
