VINTAGE

2007

WEATHER CONDITIONS

It was a particular and anomalous year, with a very mild winter followed by a not very hot spring and summer (with the exception of some very hot days in July), with low rainfall.
Ventilation was constant even in the hotter period, with a low  level of humidity.

The bouquet is broad and pleasant, with scents of wilted flowers and vanilla; in the mouth it is full and the sweet tannins make it complete.

GROWING SEASON

Due to the mild winter, the growing season started well in advance: blossoming started between 5 and 10 May; then, a cool period slowed up the phenological cycle, only partially reducing the advance of the previous months.

The health of grapes was excellent and harvesting operations started well in advance. The general conditions of nebbiolo for Barolo at racking were excellent, with very good alcohol contents and intense aromas.

YIELD

The harvest output was, in particular for nebbiolo for Barolo, quantitatively below the average but qualitatively excellent.
