VINTAGE

2010

WEATHER CONDITIONS

The winter was cold and long (until March), with heavy snowfalls that ensured optimum soil water supply.
The early summer was quite rainy and August had mild temperatures, generally lower than the previous years; then, from the last ten days of August and for the whole month of September, temperatures rose, with a significant difference between day and night temperatures.

Light tannins for this vintage. The structure is good and the wine will have a long life.

GROWING SEASON

The growing season was complex due to the peculiar year in terms of weather; late-ripening grapes, in particular nebbiolo for Barolo, benefited from the September weather, with high

temperature differences between day and night, and therefore the development of phenolic components and the aromatic profile were exceptional, granting body and attitude to ageing.

YIELD

The nebbiolo grapes yield was average.

A VERY GOOD VINTAGE
