The 2018 vintage opened with a long winter rich in rainfall that restored the water supply of the soil that had weakened due to the climatic trend of the previous year. The winter season lasted until the beginning of March with temperatures below the average of recent years, leading to a slow and gradual vegetative restart of the vine, which was completed at the end of the same month.
Between the end of May and the beginning of June in our wine growing area, there was a period characterized by numerous disturbances that brought abundant rains.
The development of the summer season was gradual and from mid-July the temperatures rose significantly.
The Nebbiolo arrived at the harvest according to the classic timing, ie with the beginning of October and the harvesting operations lasted about three weeks.
