Vegetative cycle

The weather conditions in 2014 forced us to work in the vineyards for a long time, but in the end we achieved extraordinary results. The ripening of Nebbiolo for Barolo was impeccable, with grapes in perfect health and an extremely positive phenolic profile, characterized by an abundant presence of anthocyanins.
As a result, we had excellent color intensity, aromatic complexity and remarkable longevity for our 2014 Barolo Cerequio.

Climatic trend

During the winter of 2014, we experienced mild temperatures, while spring came gradually but early.
In early summer, temperatures remained normal, with abundant rainfall above average and localized phenomena known as “rain bombs”.
September was followed by a very favorable month; from October we experienced significant daily temperature changes.
It was a year in which the microclimatic variability of the Langa valleys was particularly evident. In these conditions we produced our 2014 Barolo Cerequio.
