Name: Barolo Docg Villero
Variety: 100% nebbiolo
Vineyard: in the territory of Castiglione Falletto; South; South/West exposure; clayey and calcareous soil with marls; depth on the marl 1 metre. The rootstock is Kober; age of vines 30-35 years; density of vines 4500/hectare.
Vinification: in red by crushing and destemming; fermentation in steel at controlled temperature for 10/15 days, successive skin submerged-cap maceration for 20/25 days. Racking in small wooden barrels for malolactic fermentation, then decanting and ageing in new small and second passage wooden barrels for two years. Afterwards, bottling and refinement in bottles for 1-2 years.
Description: medium red with amber shades. Inviting aromas of red berries, rose petals, cocoa powder and spices. Pleasant and juicy in the mouth, with a long lasting note of spicy oak and rose petals. Very pleasant in the mouth, with an optimum persistence and a soft finish.
