Barolo Villero 2011

2011

Barolo Villero 2011 is like a symphony of aromas dancing on the palate. Its vibrant ruby color foreshadows a bouquet of aromatic notes, including ripe strawberries, spring flowers, and freshly ground black pepper. On the palate, it provides a rhythmic structure with agile tannins and a melody of flavors that range from fresh red fruit to aromatic herbs. This Barolo is a genuine dance of fragrances and flavors.

Vegetative cycle

The weather conditions in 2011 affected the grape ripening process, presenting some challenges due to the non-uniformity of ripening, which made the winemakers’ task more challenging.
However, for the longer-cycle varieties, particularly Nebbiolo da Barolo, the September rains proved beneficial, contributing to perfect grape ripening and a fine balance of phenolic components of our 2011 Barolo Villero.

Climatic trend

The winter of 2011 followed a constant course, with heavy rainfalls in March. From the beginning of April, temperatures began to rise, exceeding 20°C, and this period was marked by frequent fluctuations. In August, we experienced unusually high temperatures, but in early September rains provided a significant decrease and a marked temperature gap between day and night. In these conditions we produced our 2011 Barolo Villero.
