Barolo Villero 2014

Barolo Villero 2014 is a wine of delicate elegance. With its soft ruby color, it presents a delicate bouquet, featuring notes of fresh strawberry, rose petals, and a hint of mint. On the palate, it offers a light structure with finely interwoven tannins and flavors that evoke crisp red fruit and a touch of herbal tea. This Barolo is a symphony of delicate notes.

Vegetative cycle

In 2014, the weather forced us to a long and laborious work in the vineyards, but in the end we achieved exceptional results. The ripening of Nebbiolo for Barolo was perfect, with completely healthy grapes and an extremely favorable phenolic profile, consisting of a significant concentration of anthocyanins.
Therefore, 2014 Barolo Villero showed a remarkable depth of color, aromatic complexity and an extraordinary aging capacity.

Climatic trend

2014 saw a winter characterized by mild temperatures and a spring that arrived gradually, though early.
At the beginning of summer, temperatures were normal, with abundant rainfall above average and very localized phenomena (the so-called “rain bombs”).
September was a very favorable month, followed by an October with significant daily temperature changes.
It was a year in which the microclimatic variability of the Langa valleys emerged in a particular way. This is how we produced our 2014 Barolo Villero.
