LANGHE NEBBIOLO 2024

2024

Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 interprets the essence of Nebbiolo with finesse, highlighting the grape’s typicity in an authentic, terroir-driven expression. On the nose, fresh and well-defined notes of cherry, wild strawberry and redcurrant emerge, accompanied by floral nuances of rose and violet.

On the palate, the wine is dynamic and fluid, supported by well-polished tannins and a freshness that brings rhythm and depth. The balance between structure, vibrancy and a lower alcohol level compared to previous vintages defines an elegant, harmonious Nebbiolo with satisfying drinkability, faithful to the character of the Langhe.

Vegetative cycle

The Nebbiolo growing season in 2024 began regularly, with even budburst encouraged by a mild, stable spring. Shoot growth was rapid through to flowering, which was partially affected by weather instability between late May and June, requiring careful vineyard management. Yields were good, though with some variability linked to exposure and the specific characteristics of individual parcels.
Veraison occurred at the usual time, confirming a ripening cycle in line with more classic vintages. The harvested grapes showed a well-balanced profile, with good polyphenolic concentration, lively acidity and moderate sugar levels. In particular, vineyards managed with targeted agronomic practices and selective thinning best expressed Nebbiolo’s potential, pointing to a 2024 vintage marked by elegance, controlled structure and a clearly defined territorial identity.

Climatic trend

The 2024 vintage accompanied Nebbiolo with an overall balanced weather pattern, ideal for slow, complete ripening. Winter was mild and rainy, helping to partially replenish water reserves. Spring supported healthy vegetative growth until the arrival of rainfall in late May and June, which, while alleviating water deficits, required close attention to vineyard health management.
Summer unfolded with high but never extreme temperatures, interspersed with regular rainfall. This prevented water stress and supported balanced vine development in Nebbiolo, a demanding variety sensitive to climatic variation. Harvest took place at the traditional time, during October, though with some interruptions due to unsettled weather.

The grapes reached even maturity, with an excellent balance between freshness, structure and alcohol content. The result is a Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 that is refined, harmonious and deep, elegantly reflecting both the nature of the variety and the identity of the Langhe terroir.
