CHARDONNAY 2024

2024

Boroli’s Langhe Chardonnay 2024 shows bright, understated elegance, with a delicate straw-yellow colour highlighted by subtle greenish reflections. On the nose, it stands out for its refined complexity, featuring notes of lemon zest, apricot flesh and light floral hints of elderflower. On the palate, it reveals a well-judged balance between freshness and roundness: the mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, supported by lively minerality that enhances drinkability and invites another sip. A modern, precise Chardonnay that interprets the Langhe terroir with style.

Vegetative cycle

The Chardonnay growing season began regularly, with even budburst encouraged by a mild spring. Vegetative development progressed quickly through to flowering, which was slightly affected by rainfall in late May and June. Veraison occurred at the usual time, confirming a harvest in line with tradition. The grapes showed a good balance between sugars, acidity and phenolic structure. Langhe Chardonnay 2024 promises freshness, elegance and harmony, with moderate alcohol levels that are well balanced.

Climatic trend

The 2024 vintage accompanied Langhe Chardonnay with an overall balanced weather pattern, marked by a mild, rainy winter that helped partially replenish soil water reserves. Spring initially proved favourable for vine development, with regular budburst and ideal conditions through to the end of May, when frequent rainfall required careful vineyard management to preserve vine health.

During summer, temperatures remained high but without extremes, alternating with regular rainfall that prevented water stress. This balance supported steady, well-paced ripening, although targeted agronomic interventions were necessary to maintain consistent grape quality.

Chardonnay was harvested at the traditional time, slightly slowed by some weather instability in September, but yielded healthy grapes with a fresh aromatic profile, good acidity and lower alcohol levels compared to recent vintages.
