Castiglione Falletto is one of the 11 little towns where Barolo can be produced. Each one has its own identity marked by the vine varieties cultivated there and tied to the terroir.
Although in terms of size, Castiglione Falletto is not one of the biggest (according to Alessandro Masnghetti’s Enciclopedia delle Grandi Vigne (Encyclopedia of Great Vineyards) it is in sixth place), it contains some of the most esteemed vineyards, including Brunella and Villero.
A small town, but one which offers wines with a rather varied range of styles and characters.
Castiglione Falletto is the home of our winery, Cascina La Brunella, where all the production and ageing processes of Barolo Achille Boroli are concentrated, including those originating in other Nebbiolo for Barolo vineyards owned by the company – Barolo (Borgata Cerequio) and La Morra (Cascina Sorello).
