On 9 and 10 February, Achille Boroli, along with some of the best makers of Barolo (Ceretto, Conterno Fantino, Cordero di Montezemolo, Marchesi di Barolo, Michele Chiarlo, Renato Ratti, Rionda – Massolino, Vietti and Roberto Voerzio), visited the splendid estates that surround the city of Bordeaux for a veritable oenological melting pot. Not only were there tastings of great local wines (2008 Le Pin – Pomerol, 2007 Chateau Pichon-Longueville – Baron Pauillac, 2004 Chateau Cheval Blanc – St. Emilion Grand Cru, 2004 Grand Vin de Chateau Latour, 2011 Chateau Lynch-Bages Pauillac, and 2009 Chateau Beauregard – Pomerol just to mention some), but also special Barolo vintages from selected crus, as in the case of the preview of our Barolo Brunella 2013 and our Barolo Villero 2013.
The splendour of the Chateaux, their welcome and the extraordinary wines tasted added up to an unforgettable stay with a combination of history and timeless oenological excellence. We would like to thank Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron, Chateau Le Pin, Chateau Beauregard, Chateau Cheval Blanc, Chateau Palmer, Chateau Margaux and Chateau Latour for their hospitality.
