Barolo Brunella 2013

2013

Barolo Brunella 2013 is a testament to oenological resilience. With its deep ruby color, it opens with a bouquet of aromas that tell a story of strength and determination. Notes of ripe cherry, damp earth, and exotic spices evoke a vintage that has overcome challenges and matured gracefully. On the palate, the structure is solid, and the tannins, like sturdy pillars, support complex flavors that speak to the wine’s resilience and its ability to face adversity.

Vegetative cycle

Overall, we can say that 2013 was a complex year; however, those who were able to understand it will have much to gain.
The beginning of the growing cycle was significantly slowed down due to adverse spring conditions, and flowering took place regularly in the second half of June, a delay that has not been made up for. However, this year we produced our first 2013 Barolo Brunella.

Climatic trend

2013 began with a very cold spring, characterized by very low temperatures during the months of March and April. However, from May onwards, there was abundant rainfall and a gradual improvement in weather conditions. Summer was favorable, without excessive heat, and this once again benefited late harvest vines, such as Nebbiolo. From August until the harvest, the weather was exceptional for our 2013 Barolo Brunella, the first vintage of our monopoly variety.
