Barolo Brunella 2015

Barolo Brunella 2015 is an explosion of flavor in the glass. Its fiery ruby color is a declaration of intensity. The bouquet releases notes of succulent cherry, wild violets, and bold black pepper. It’s a vintage that shines with vitality. On the palate, the structure is full-bodied, with tannins that envelop the palate and a passionate array of flavors ranging from ripe red fruit to exotic spices. This Barolo is a tribute to the enthusiasm of the 2015 vintage.

Vegetative cycle

In general, during 2015, an early start to the vegetative cycle of about ten days was observed, with flowering taking place in mid-May. The high temperatures did not cause any inconvenience to the vines, and everything went smoothly, maintaining the initial ten-day advance. The quality of the grapes, particularly for Nebbiolo da Barolo, is exceptional: perfect ripening, remarkable accumulation of polyphenols and excellent quality tannins characterized 2015 Barolo Brunella.

Climatic trend

The winter of 2015 was characterized by intense snowfalls, which promoted an excellent soil water supply. A temperate spring took over as early as the end of February. Between late May and the first ten days of June, precipitations alternated, while July was a completely dry month. Towards the end of July, temperatures reached peaks of 40°C, but thanks to the soil’s water reserves, the vineyards were not affected by the summer dryness. In the last part of this summer, normal weather was observed, with cooler nights. In this year we produced our 2015 Barolo Brunella.
