Barolo Brunella 2018 is a declaration of enduring longevity. The germination was uniform without the problems of late frosts. Flowering and the subsequent fruit set took place regularly and in optimal climatic conditions. The month of September 2018, as it has been for a few years now, had a favorable climatic trend, contributing to the quality of the 2018 Barolo Brunella obtained from the vines with a medium-long vegetative cycle that were able to fully benefit from it.
The 2018 Barolo Brunella year started with a long winter rich in rainfalls that restored the water supply of the soil that had weakened due to the climatic trend of the previous year. The winter season lasted until the beginning of March with temperatures below the average of previous years, leading to a slow and gradual vegetative restart of the vine, which was completed at the end of the same month.
Between the end of May and the beginning of June in our wine growing area there was a period characterized by numerous disturbances that brought abundant rains.
The development of the summer season was gradual and from mid-July the temperatures rose significantly.
The Nebbiolo variety reached the harvest with the classic timing, in the beginning of October, and the harvesting operations lasted about three weeks.
