The harvest, which took place between late September and early October, brought Nebbiolo grapes to perfect ripeness, with an ideal balance of sugars, acidity, and tannins. The 2020 vintage provided Barolo with variable but overall favorable weather conditions for quality. A mild and dry winter gave way to a well-balanced spring with evenly distributed rainfall, ensuring sufficient water reserves for the vines. Summer was warm, with a few intense temperature peaks but no extremes, while the strong temperature fluctuations, especially between August and September, promoted slow, optimal ripening with well-preserved acidity and excellent concentration. Spring rainfall, around 250 mm, supported vineyard growth, and summer temperatures remained between 30 and 32°C. The quality of the 2020 vintage is excellent, offering wines of great classicism and longevity.
