Barolo Villero 2015 is a wine of intense passion. With its fiery ruby color, it introduces a passionate bouquet, featuring notes of succulent cherry, wild violets, and intense black pepper. On the palate, it offers a fiery structure with robust tannins and a passionate array of flavors ranging from ripe red fruit to oriental spices. This Barolo is a celebration of intensity in every sip.
In general, during 2015, we saw an early start to the vegetative cycle by about ten days, with flowering beginning in mid-May. The warm temperatures did not create problems for the vines, and everything proceeded without a hitch, maintaining the initial ten-day advance. The quality of the grapes, especially the Nebbiolo da Barolo, was extraordinary: impeccable ripening, abundant accumulation of polyphenols and excellent quality tannins characterized 2015 Barolo Villero.
The winter of 2015 was characterized by heavy snowfalls, which granted a significant water supply to the soil. A mild spring came as early as the end of February. Between late May and the first decade of June, precipitations alternated, with July being completely rainless. At the end of July, temperatures spiked up to 40°C, but the vineyards did not suffer thanks to the water reserves in the soil. In the latter part of summer, there was a regular weather pattern, with some cooler nights. In this year we produced our 2015 Barolo Villero.
