With the Nebbiolo grapes, carefully cultivated in Villero, Barolo Villero 2005 was created. A wine that stands out on the palate, with an intense taste with fruity notes.
This wine is readily enjoyable but it can also age further to reveal its full potential.
The 2005 growing cycle successfully coped with the temperature fluctuations of this exceptional season. On the contrary, the grapes were in exceptional condition, and the temperature fluctuations undoubtedly contributed to the enrichment of aromas and fragrances for our 2005 Barolo Villero.
The 2005 weather conditions were anomalous: a rather mild winter with low precipitation, a cool spring with limited rainfall, followed by a very hot June.
The first half of July saw cooler temperatures, but later these increased; August was characterized by pleasant weather with below-average temperatures, and in early September there were moderate rains, followed by a return to good, stable weather until mid-October, by which time our 2005 Barolo Villero was safely in the cellar.
