Vegetative cycle

The 2003 vintage started late compared to the average trendstarted behind the average trend, with the buds opening delayed of approximately 15 days; in a short time, however, the blossoming stage was reached at the end of May, in line with average hot years. In mid-June, therefore slightly in advance, veraison started; for later-ripening vines (in particular, Nebbiolo for Barolo) it started in mid-/late July.
