Vegetative cycle

Due to the rainfalls, the starting stage of budding was delayed; later, the lack of rainfalls and the dry climate favoured the development of bunches.
Finally, the continuation of the anticyclone until October allowed perfect ripening of grapes, especially for late-ripening varieties, such as Nebbiolo for Barolo for our 2004 Barolo Cerequio.

Climatic trend

After a 2004 winter with heavy snowfalls and low temperatures, the spring was characterized by abundant rainfalls until early May. This allowed to recover the soil water supply.
The following months summer months were not extremely hot, with no rainfalls; starting from September, the anticyclone gave sunny and dry days and temperatures slightly above the seasonal average for an Excellent 2004 Barolo Cerequio.
