Vegetative cycle

The rains resulted in a slowdown in the initial phase of plant sprouting; however, subsequently, the lack of precipitation and dry weather favored the growth of the grape clusters. Finally, the persistent presence of high atmospheric pressure until October ensured a perfect ripening of the grapes, especially those with late maturation, such as Barolo 2004.

Climatic trend

After a cold and snowy winter of 2004, spring brought with it an abundance of rain that characterized the month of April. This contribution greatly enriched the soil’s water reserves. In the following months, we enjoyed pleasant summer temperatures, without significant heat peaks and with a notable lack of precipitation. Starting from July, high atmospheric pressure dominated, offering sunny days, dry weather, and slightly above-average seasonal temperatures, contributing to an excellent 2004 Barolo vintage.
