Barolo 2010

2010

Barolo 2010 is a wine that promises to age beautifully over time. This vintage stands out for its impeccable structure, with well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. The garnet color introduces a bouquet of evolved aromas, including dried fruit, violet, and earth. In the mouth, it offers a depth of flavors ranging from dark cherry to anise, anticipating a long and rewarding maturation in the cellar.

Vegetative cycle

The growing season was complex due to the peculiar year in terms of weather; late-ripening grapes, in particular Nebbiolo grapes, benefited from the September weather, with high temperature differences between day and night, and therefore the development of phenolic components and the aromatic profile were exceptional, granting body and attitude to the ageing of our 2010 Barolo.

Climatic trend

The winter of 2010 was cold and long (until March), with heavy snowfalls that ensured an optimum soil water supply.
The early summer was quite rainy and August had mild temperatures, generally lower than the previous years; then, from the last ten days of August and for the whole month of September, temperatures rose, with a significant difference between day and night. This is how we produced our 2010 Barolo.
