Barolo 2011

2011

Barolo 2011 is a wine that embodies the generosity of the vintage. With a brilliant ruby color, it offers a bouquet of intense aromas of red fruit, roses, and a hint of mint. In the mouth, it provides a rounded structure with soft tannins and a richness of flavors that include strawberry, black pepper, and vanilla. This is an accessible and delightful Barolo, perfect for enjoyment in its youth.

Vegetative cycle

The weather conditions in 2011 affected grape ripening, with many difficulties for wine growers due to the lack of homogeneity in ripening. For later-ripening varieties, therefore in particular for Nebbiolo for Barolo, the September rains were providential for the excellent balance of phenolic components of our 2011 Barolo.

Climatic trend

The winter of 2011 was regular, with heavy rainfalls in March. Starting from April, temperatures rose, often reaching 20°C; the period was characterized by several changes in temperature.
In August, temperatures were quite high, while in early September rain fell, with a significant difference in degrees between day and night. In these conditions we produced our 2011 Barolo.
